THE BROWN SOUND ROOTS

Brown Sound is a family legacy that spans over three decades.

It all started in 1987 when my dad, Tim Brown, fell in love with DJing. He was studying broadcasting in Charlotte, North Carolina, when he got the chance to help out a fellow DJ at a gig. He was hooked by the energy of the crowd and launched his own DJ service for weddings, Brown Sound, and soon earned a reputation for delivering amazing performances at weddings, parties, corporate events, and more. He invested in the best equipment and always went the extra mile to make every event special.

He became a master of the craft over the years!

But my dad didn’t keep his passion to himself. He taught me, CC, everything he knew about DJing, and I followed in his footsteps. I started my own branch of Brown Sound when I was a teenager, and I loved every minute of it.

My dad passed away in June 2023 after a long fight with cancer. He left behind a legacy of joy and music that touched countless lives. He also left me his precious DJ service, which we had built together for nearly a decade prior, and I moved to Utah to continue his work.

I think of my dad every time I play a gig, and I know he’s proud of me! I inherited his passion for making parties awesome, and I want to share it with you.
